I’m really excited to be working on the Museum of Ecoacoustic Phenomena at BEAF 2019 with Adrian Newton, Marcus Leadley and David Rogers. I’m developing the installation at this very moment!! Looking forward to setting it up – it will be at BNSS on 4th and 5th May. See flyer below.
Last night (27 March 2019) we welcomed David Berezan to Bournemouth University for a concert of immersive acousmatic music. David played a mixture of his own work and that of Manuela Blackburn. It was a fantastic concert and it was great to have such a rich and coherent programme. Sincere thanks to David for playing here.
In rehearsal…
On 25–26 January I attended and presented music at the Electroacoustic Music Association of Great Britain 40th Anniversary, taking place at the University of Greenwich. As well as presenting Traces of Play, it was amazing to hear music across the weekend’s various concerts and to sit in the paper sessions.
And it was great to meet up with so many friends and to be part of this amazing community of composers. Thanks to Adam Stanovic and James Andean of the British Electroacoustic Network and Andrew Hill of University of Greenwich for all their efforts in prganising such a great weekend.
My piece Traces of Play is on the the programme at EMAS in Greenwich, London on Sunday 26th January. The conference is celebrating 40 years since the founding of EMAS (The Electroacoustic Music Association of Great Britain). It looks to be an amazing programme and I’m really excited to have had this composition programmed.
I recently went to Brussels for the final of the 10th Métamorphoses Acousmatic Composition Competition. It was an honour to have my composition Traces of Play included in a final containing works of such a high standard, and it was amazing to take part in the Festival l’Espace du Son, run by Musiques et Recherches. Annette Van de Gorne’s diffusion work was phenomenal!
I am very pleased to say that ‘Traces of Play’ has been selected to represent the British ElectroAcoustic Network‘s submission to the CIME AGM in Beijing 2018. CIME is the International Confederation of Electrocoaustic Music, which links electroacoustic music organisations from around the world and comprises members from 23 different countries.
It’s a huge honour to be selected for this and ‘Traces of Play’ will appear in the concert in Beijing on 25th October 2018.

This is a long-established competition that has always featured high quality finalists, so I’m really pleased that my work has been chosen.
